  Halloween Experience: The 2010 Return

< Back to Experiences

Halloween Experience: The 2010 Return   Two years after it had originally finished, the
Halloween Experience made a special return in
2010. This was the first display that utilised
computers to run pre-programmed lighting and
sound sequences activated from motion sensors
triggered by visitors as they walked up the path.

Our faithful punters hadn't forgotten us either!
Tons of people came to see the new rebooted Halloween Experience! Another brilliant evening!

2010 was one of my all-time favourites. Everything we made worked superbly well, even my circuits for triggering the computers!! Sam did an amazing job with the garden theming; I loved the cobwebs and and the porch decorations. We also had a number of ghoulish figures with sounds that played as visitors walked by; awesome effects
that worked really well.

The 2010 experience featured two pre-programmed light and sound sequences that were played from computers when visitors reached two different points in the garden; the entrance and the porch. This marked the transition from entirely CD-based audio, to instantly trigger-able sounds stored on hard-drive.

You can read more about how the effects of the 2010 and 2011 experiences were created in the design pages.
