After another two year break, we were back again with a
newly haunted garden,
themed as the 'Trail of the Tormented'!
Cackling
witches at a cauldron, a ghoulish
graveyard, a ghostly apparition, mischievous boggarts and a host of other ghouls were all
waiting to greet those brave enough to step up the path! Tons of people came to see it, and
the weather
gave us a treat of its own! |

The 2013 display was brilliant! I was so
pleased with how it all looked, and that I was able to
introduce some effects that are used all over the world in
haunted attractions, such as the ghost in the trees - a
chance to create my own version of the famous Pepper's Ghost
illusion! Everyone had a lot of fun visiting, and it was great to
see
my
ideas working for real!

The 2013 experience was the first display to include the 'Pepper's Ghost'
effect to create the spooky
apparition of the ghoul in the trees at the back of the
garden. Over 150 years old, this effect was originally popularised in Victorian theatre.
There were a lot of props and effects at this year's
display; 9 tombstones, 9 figures, 3 brand new
scenes and 3 separate motion-triggered light and sound
sequences! |
